Locket has released a beta app for Android that lets users in the US earn money through advertising. When the app is installed, an advertisement image will be displayed on the lock screen.
The user can swipe to the left to watch a video advertisement or swipe to the right to ignore it and unlock the phone. Either way, the user will earn 1 cent each time the unlock their phone with a limit of 3 cents per hour.
If a user checks their phone three times an hour for 12 hours a day, they could earn about $10 per month, enough to pay for an Xbox Live Gold subscription or an Xbox Music Pass. Using an Android device? Download the app from Google Play here.
